Laurent Fundraising for BCS

As we head into Summer, I am busy preparing for a walking challenge. The week after Carers week I will be walking around the island of Jersey. The 32nd Around the Island Walk took takes place on Saturday 17th June 2023. The premier Island walk has become one of the Island’s largest one-day fund raising events and I will be collecting sponsorship for Bolton Carers Support.

The tough walk is a stark contrast with the beauty of the route that passes along Jersey’s beautiful coastline, sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and stunning countryside. 48 miles, starting at 3am and finishing sometime into the later part of the same evening.

It will be the third time that I have undertaken this event. It is a personal challenge, enhanced by spending the day with friends, the camaraderie of others, seeing the whole coastline of a beautiful island and raising funds to support the carers of Bolton.

The plan is to put one foot in front of the other and crack on.
