Make a Difference – Volunteer!

Bolton Carers Support are not recruiting any new volunteers at the present time. Please keep checking our website for any updates.

We have a team of committed volunteers who we would like to thank for the kindness and time they give to support local carers.  You are very much appreciated and make such a difference.  Thank you!

In the meantime, please visit Bolton CVS for volunteering opportunities:

Make a Difference – Volunteer With Us

Here at Bolton Carers Support we believe in valuing ALL our volunteers regardless of how many hours you can spare.

Volunteers play a huge part in Bolton Carers Support and in 2022 we were recently awarded with the Queens Award for Voluntary Service which recognises the contribution volunteers make to the organization.

Volunteering at Bolton Carers Support can be an incredibly rewarding and valuable experience.

Why Volunteer? What are the benefits of volunteering?

Volunteering connects you with others

If you are feeling isolated or lonely, volunteering is a great way to meet new people.

Volunteering builds self-confidence and self-esteem

Helping others and the community helps to create a sense of accomplishment. And working as a volunteer can give you a sense of purpose, helping to boost your self-confidence.

Volunteering can help your career

Having volunteering experience can be incredibly useful. It shows potential employers that you are willing to give your own time to make a difference to the lives of other people.

Volunteering can help to improve health and well being

Many people find volunteering helps to reduce stress. Helping others makes people feel good, which in turn, can have a positive effect on your overall well-being. Volunteering can also boost your mental health because helping others makes you feel happier.

We need volunteers with a wide range of life experience, skills and knowledge to fill our diverse range of volunteer roles. In return for giving your time and talents, you will receive quality training, ongoing support, and the reward knowing that you are making a difference. And you will be made to feel welcome by our existing volunteers and staff. We are a very friendly bunch here at Bolton Carers Support and we welcome people from all backgrounds.

By becoming a volunteer you will make new friends, grow in confidence and make such a difference to the lives of unpaid carers in Bolton.
If you would like to volunteer but are unsure of which role suits you best, then please call us for a chat 01204 363056. We recognise that people are busy and have other commitments, which is why we are always grateful for any time volunteers can give.

Some people believe that they are wasting our time because they feel they cannot offer enough time or cannot volunteer on a regular basis; please don’t worry about this; we have volunteer roles that are ad hoc, which means that you volunteer as and when you can, offering as much or as little time as you can depending on your circumstances.
